Social Media in 2009

In April this year Justin Rains of Portal Planet invited us to attend Daniel Johnson Jr.'s New Media Cincinnati. We attended our first one in May '09. Loved it and haven't stopped attending since. This group has lead to other social meetups and most recently the Social Media Holiday Party 09 put on by Michelle Beckham, Julie Sweeney Bogart, and Anne Castleberry.

For the last 7 months we have connected with most of the members via LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. It has been one of the best groups we have ever been a part of. The members are passionate about social media. Intelligent, Creative, Computer Literate, innovative, interesting, caring, and resourceful are just a few of the words I would use to describe them.

When we meet face to face it seems to deepen our relationships. Then in between we stay connected and follow updates that help you to know that person more. Looking forward to see what 2010 has in store for Social Media.
